Brandt Snedeker to replace Keegan Bradley as assistant captain for Presidents Cup

Brandt Snedeker has been announced as the US team’s new assistant captain for the 2024 Presidents Cup. Replacing Keegan Bradley, Snedeker will take on the task of assisting captain Jim Furyk for the US team.

Keegan Bradley, who will captain the US team at the 2025 Ryder Cup, has already named Snedeker as his vice-captain for the team next year. Brandt Snedeker played at the Presidents Cup in 2013 as well as the Ryder Cup in 2012 and 2016. Stewart Cink, Justin Leonard, and Kevin Kisner will be the other US vice-captains for the Presidents Cup.

Keegan Bradley was originally named the vice-captain for the Presidents Cup. However, after his impressive performances on the PGA Tour this year, Furyk picked him to be a player on the team. He stepped away from his vice-captain duties to take on a different role instead.

Speaking about becoming vice-captain for the Presidents Cup, Snedeker said via Sports Illustrated:

“I was honored to get the call from Jim and thrilled to accept this role as one of his captain’s assistants for the Presidents Cup. He’s someone I’ve looked up to throughout my career and I know will be a strong leader for the U.S. team at Royal Montreal. My goal is to add a trusted voice to our players throughout the week and do everything I can to help us pull out the win.”

The Presidents Cup will be held from September 24 to 29 at the The Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
