On the latest episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope Logan finds out that her ex is engaged – and some fans are skeptical.
Thomas Forrester has returned from Paris, France with his and Hope’s son Douglas. Hope was shocked to see them, but she was excited that they returned.
Douglas left the room for a bit, so Thomas and Hope were left alone. Hope begged for Thomas back, apologizing for turning down his proposal twice.
Hope wants Thomas back
As Douglas returned, Paris entered soon after. The boy said: “Mom?” to which both Hope and Paris answered.
Shocked, Hope asked why he called Paris mom, to which Thomas announced he and Paris were engaged. The episode ended on Hope’s horrified face.
The viewers were privy to the engagement, as a teaser shown on Friday showed the ring on Paris’ finger. But some are skeptical about Thomas getting engaged so fast to someone else after being heartbroken over Hope.
One fan wrote on Twitter, now known as X: “Is it possible that Paris and Thomas set up this ‘engagement’ to make Hope jealous and realize she wants to marry Thomas? Is it all a scam?
Hope was shocked at the news
“I see this two ways. Paris is in on this ruse? Vile. Is Douglas in on it, too. Sickening. Thomas using Paris AND Douglas to get what he wants. Vile,” another chimed in.
A third thought that Thomas still wasn’t over Hope. They wrote: “But why did a whole engaged man hold her like that?”
Fans also didn’t believe that Hope really missed her ex after she spent several episodes daydreaming over Finn. One wrote “Yeah, right, you really missed Thomas. That’s a bunch of bull, like, didn’t you just get done daydreaming about Finn, not even two minutes ago so I’m not buying it there Hope!!”
Others think that it was time for Thomas to move on. “It would be a sad & unfair existence if he had to wait around for Hope forever. I think it’s more that he is loyal to the woman that he is with & puts his whole heart in it, not that he’ll never love again. I hope that remains true & he doesn’t do Paris wrong,” one fan hoped.
