The rookie sensation out of Iowa is now averaging 16.2 points and 6.6 assists on the season while shooting 36 percent from beyond the arc.
Griner, the No. 1 overall pick out of Baylor in 2013, is having another strong season for the Mercury. The 6-9 center is averaging 19.5 points, seven rebounds and 1.7 blocks per contest.
Phoenix is also led by veteran guard Kahleah Cooper, who’s averaging a career-best 22.6 points per game in her first season with the Mercury.
