LIV starboy Brooks Koepka submits application for every sport except golf ahead of the NFL season

Brooks Koepka recently demonstrated his athletic prowess by taking on a multi-sport challenge at a Bastool Sports gym. The challenge involved demonstrating his skills in various sports.

Visuals of the test were posted by Barstool Sports on their X (formerly Twitter) account. The video features Koepka playing football, baseball, soccer, and basketball.

The 34-year-old required five swings to hit the ball into the “fair zone” during the baseball portion of the challenge. In football, he needed six throws to hit the target. For basketball, he attempted six shots before making his first three-pointer and then took three more attempts to make his second.

Koepka’s appearance was part of his participation in Barstool Sports’ podcast, The Yak. The 5-time major champion also took a trivia test with a variety of general culture questions. The entire test is called “The Yak Gauntlet.”

Koepka was joined by his LIV Golf teammate Talor Gooch, who also took the test.

What’s next for Brooks Koepka?

Brooks Koepka and Talor Gooch are both set to compete in the LIV Golf Individual Championship, taking place September 13-15 at Bolingbrook Golf Course in Chicago.

Koepka enters the final individual event of the season in 7th place on the individual leaderboard with 126.73 points to his credit. However, he can only hope to match his third-place finish in 2023. This is because Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann are comfortably leading the field. Five players are battling for third place: Tyrrell Hatton, Sergio Garcia, Louis Oosthuizen, Cameron Smith, and Brooks Koepka.

Despite being unable to clinch the season title, Koepka has enjoyed a successful year at LIV Golf, securing two individual victories in Singapore and Greenbrier, along with three additional top-10 finishes.

While Koepka made the cut in all four major championships this year, his performances outside of LIV Golf were less impressive compared to his previous season. He finished T45 at the Masters Tournament, T26 at the PGA Championship, T26 at the US Open, and T43 at the Open Championship.

As for the LIV Golf team tournament, Koepka’s team, Smash GC, currently sits in fourth place in the standings. The team has achieved two victories (Las Vegas and Greenbrier) and one runner-up finish in 12 regular-season events.

The Team Championship will be held in Dallas, Texas, one week after the Individual Championship. At this time, no details have been released with regard to the format that will be used. However, if a format similar to last season’s is used, Smash GC’s fourth-place ranking would allow them to choose their opponent in the first round.
